I would like that the Vegan Goddess’ blog has more of me. I don’t wanna talk only of food or recipes. I would like that you could know me little bit more.
For this reason, every month I am going to share with you a book and cd, those I’m listening in that moment. Reading and Music. Two passions. (I have a lot of hobbies and passions, but I want to share with you these two).
What am I reading now?
EL TIEMPO ENTRE COSTURAS – María Dueñas
First of all, a great story. I was about to finish the book and I like the plot, but I must admit that some fragments of the books seemed long to me.
Good main character development-similar to slowly weaving a tapestry of the character’s evolution, thus the title. Delightful and exciting reading…..also of historical value about the Spanish Civil war and the years of WWII. The influence of Germany and Britain in Morrocco, Spain and Portugal.
Here’s a plot description from Publisher’s Marketplace:
[The novel follows] the life of a poor seamstress from Madrid who, after being abandoned in Algiers by her lover, becomes the most sought-after couturiere in North Africa, but is embroiled in a world of spies that pass information on to the British Secret Service through a code stitched into her dress designs.

STATUS QUO – Quid Pro Quo
Yes, Status Quo.
Quid Pro Quo is the twenty-ninth studio album by English rock band Status Quo, released in May 2011. The album debuted at number 10 in the UK charts and features 14 new songs, as well as the 2010 version of their 1986 hit “In The Army Now” which was re-recorded in support of the Help For Heroes and British Forces Foundation charities. The accompanying Official Live Bootleg album features 12 older songs recorded by the band in concert in Amsterdam and Melbourne in 2010. In the UK the album was only available at branches of Tesco stores for its first week before being released conventionally on the band’s Fourth Chord label on 6 June 2011.
I love Status Quo, is a group that has accompanied me all my life. When I was 4, my father listened the band at all times. Every Sunday morning, he layed on the couch and listened the vinyls. One after another.
And you, what are you reading/listening now?
